LDI is not leadership training: it is leadership development. Created by Dr John J. Scherer, this intensive helps you discover the person inside the position and move from automatic reactions to authentic leadership.
From the Old French desveloper: to discover, to unwrap, to find. LDI helps you see how your default reactions to difficult situations ('tigers') have been driving and limiting you.
This is not a sit-down-and-take-notes experience. You will work with powerful models (The Waterline, Three Worlds, Persona/Shadow, Mindfulness) and experiential practices including stretching, aikido, and mindfulness training. The workplace becomes a dojo for personal development.
The framework at the heart of LDI: five questions that guide the inner work of leadership development.
A 30-minute online EQ self-assessment to set your development goals, followed by a 60-minute pre-call with a facilitator to introduce the programme, its content, and logistics.
An intensive facilitated retreat with experiential activities. Days begin at 7:30 with gentle stretching, aikido, and mindfulness, followed by morning and afternoon learning sessions. Held at a boutique hotel or retreat centre; staying on-site is recommended.
The 21 Days email programme with daily audio/video support, two 90-minute group calls to apply learnings back at work, and a peer support group. Optional 1:1 coaching available.
LDI builds on your strengths and helps you discover capabilities you may not have known you possessed, or have been reluctant to use. The effects reach far beyond the retreat.
